Pathkare Inc. offers outpatient Anatomic Pathology Services focusing on Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy with and without ultrasound guidance, biopsies of all organ systems, and surgical specimens procured at outpatient surgical centers. Our laboratory is licensed by federal regulatory agency (CLIA) and by California State Department of Health. Pathkare Inc. has pathology contracts with government programs such as Medicare and commercial private insurance companies.
Pathkare Inc. was founded in 2010 as a free-standing Fine Needle Aspiration Clinic. Its executive team includes Dr. Rooba Wardeh, Medical Director, and Sophie Ghafari, SCT, MBA, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Wardeh received fellowship training in Surgical Patholgy at USC Keck/Norris Cancer Center and Cytopathology fellowship at University of California, Irvine. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology. Dr. Wardeh has over 6 years of clinical experience in practicing her specialties in Pathology.
Sophie Ghafari is known throughout Orange County, California, for her innovative approach to healthcare leadership and laboratory management. Ghafari received her Cytotechnology training at the University of Southern California, and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and International Academy of Cytology (IAC). She also received her MBA in Executive Health Care from the University of California, Irvine. Ghafari has successfully served as Cytology Laboratory Supervisor and Anatomic Pathology Manager at UCI Medical Center, and consultants for many clinical laboratories and hospitals throughout Southern California.
